Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you initiate your first copy trade on Bybit.
On Desktop
Step 1: Please click on Derivatives –> Copy Trading in the navigation bar to enter the Copy Trading page.
Step 2: Transfer assets
a. If you’re entering the Copy Trading page for the first time to initiate a trade, please click on User Center (Principal Trader) –> Transfer to make a deposit.
Copy Trading will be channeled directly through your Copy Trading Account. You can transfer assets from your Derivatives Account to your Copy Trading Account to start trading.
Please note that only USDT is currently supported.
b. If you've previously deposited funds into your Copy Trading Account, please follow the steps below.
Step 3: Leverage Settings (optional)
Click on Leverage on the right side of the User Center (Principal Trader). The default leverage for all trading pairs is 10x. To adjust the leverage, click on Edit, then enter the leverage you desire, and click on Save.
Notes:
— Currently, only the same leverage is supported for long and short positions across all trading pairs, which is not affected by the leverage set by principal traders.

Step 4: Initiate Trade
Click on Initiate Trade on the right side of the User Center (Principal Trader) to create your initiative order with the following parameters:
- Contract: Select derivatives trading pair
- Trade Direction: Long or Short
- Order Type: Limit or Market
- Enter the order price (Limit order only)
- (a) Enter the quantity to long or short, or
(b) Use the percentage bar to quickly set an order's contract quantity with the corresponding proportion of the account's available margin.
Then, click on Initiate Trade.
Step 5: A confirmation window will appear. Please double-check that the order details are correct, and then click on Initiate Now.
Congratulations! Your trade has been successfully initiated.
Next, you can view the position or order details under Copy Trades or Active Orders, respectively, in the User Center (Principal Trader).
