Q) Is it safe to deposit and store my cryptocurrencies with Bybit?
Yes, it is safe to do so. In order to maintain a high level of asset security, Bybit uses an industry-leading and multi-signature cold wallet to store 100% of our traders' deposited assets. At the individual account level, all withdrawal requests will undergo a stringent procedure that carries out confirmation for withdrawals.
In addition, 100% of our traders' deposit assets will be segregated from our Bybit's operating budget for increased financial accountability.
For Bybit wallet 2.0 to support immediate withdrawal, only a small percentage of coins will be held in the hot wallet. As a way to protect the client's funds, the remaining will still be kept in the cold wallet. Bybit always puts our client interest first, fund safety is the basic of all and we have and always work to ensure we have the highest level of asset security.
Q) How to make deposit?

Method 2:Transfer your assets from another wallet/exchange to your Bybit deposit wallet address. Please only deposit the supported coin using the supported chain stated in our Spot account asset page. You can view the details by clicking the “Deposit” button beside the coin you want to deposit. For more information, please refer to “How to make deposit”.

Q) Why did my deposit not arrive inside my Bybit account?
The major reasons for delays for each respective coin are as follows:
- Unconfirmed transaction on blockchain. At Bybit, we require a certain number of blockchain confirmation for different coins before the transfer amount can be credited to your Bybit wallet. To see the required blockchain confirmation, please go to your Asset page then click the “Deposit” button of your coin type deposit.
- Deposited coin with invalid or missing tag/memo
Every account on Bybit shares the same deposit wallet address for coins that require a deposit memo/tag, such as XRP, EOS, XYM or RUNE. Therefore, traders must input the correct tag/memo when they make the deposits in order for it to be credited. The main reason why traders' XRP, EOS, XYM or XLM deposits did not arrive timely is due to the improper inputting of the deposit tag/memo when making the deposit transfer.
For more information, please refer to How to retrieve my deposit with wrong or missing tag/memo then proceed to fill up the Asset Recovery Form.
- Deposited through Smart Contract method
Please take note that Bybit does not support deposit/withdrawal using Smart Contract method. Transfer using Smart Contract will not be credited to your Bybit account. For example, ERC-20 ETH smart contract transfer or TRC-20 USDT smart contract transfer. deposit must be completed by Direct Transfer method. Any smart contract transfer will require manual intervention and may take up to 48 hours to be deposited into your Bybit account.
If you have already made the transfer with the Smart Contract method, please submit your retrieval request through this Asset Recovery Form and choose "Why hasn't my deposit been credited" as the Case Type.
- Depositing unsupported Coins or deposit using unsupported Chain Into Your Bybit Account
Bybit only supports the depositing of coins listed inside every trader's assets page and its standard blockchain. However, in instances in which an unsupported coin is unintentionally deposited into a Bybit wallet address, the Bybit team may attempt an asset recovery procedure, subject to the following recovery fees. Please proceed to fill up the Asset Recovery Form.
